About me
Crafting on the edge of Land, Sea and Story
Read my Story
Nestled along the beautiful Scottish Galloway coastline — with its wooded shorelines, expansive tidal beaches, and dramatic hilltop skylines — I couldn’t be better placed for inspiration.
I am constantly rejuvenated by the natural outdoors: wild camping beneath star-filled skies beside the crackle of a fire, throwing a picnic blanket into the car to explore remote bays scattered with driftwood sculptures, or foraging seaweed around coastal islands by kayak at sunset.
Living on the coastline, I spend much of my time at the edges of landscapes, ecosystems, and elements. These are places of beauty, fragility, and contradiction. There is something compelling about life on an edge — where forces collide, survival adapts, and nature continually reshapes itself.
A tree depends on water to grow strong, yet too much moisture invites decay. A fallen branch may then be carried by the salty sea, where tides and time dry it and sculpt it into something entirely new.
Light holds the same tension: nurturing growth while also possessing the power to scorch, weather, and destroy.
These interactions sit at the heart of my craftwork.
Through wood, epoxy, and light, I like to create handcrafted pieces that are both practical and meaningful — tranforming the tensions of the outdoor world into building friendships indoors.
Whether it’s a serving board inspired by tidal movement, a layered artwork shaped by woodland patterns, or a deeply personal commissioned piece, every creation begins with a story, a landscape, or a memory.
If you would like to explore the collection, personalise a meaningful gift, or discuss a custom commission, I’d love to hear from you.
