This is a passion project. Gnarly driftwood washed by salt and time. Dappled light breaking through a sleepy woodland canopy. Sunsets blurring boundaries between sky and sea. Time measured in tides not hours, seasons by foraging adventures. If ever I want to feel refreshed and grounded there are no end of possibilities to feel more me. And when I do I find inspiration. Learning about the diversity of wood and how it interacts with water, and imitating that with epoxy. The power of light within designs but also cut by laser.
This passion leads me to work with nature not against it. I want to bring the inspiration I find outdoors, into our every day indoor life. From how we serve our foods to where we store our memories, everything has a natural inspiration. In doing so it is essential to respect the elements I work with.
We source materials locally from driftwood to local suppliers where we can. We look for sustainable options in our crafting from the choice of more environmentally friendly epoxy resins and beeswax finishing oils, to our packaging options. And when we can, spend time with my family giving back, whether doing beach cleans or the family supporting me to volunteer with the Coastguard so others can enjoy being out and about in our wonderful coastline safely.
